Greek Democracy was a radical departure from a Greek Monarchy because a democracy was run using a system where people could elect their leaders and they had a say in what happened. A democracy also spread the power among many people so that one person couldn't get too powerful. In a Greek Monarchy one central person has all of the power. Since one person had all of the power it often led to dictatorship. This led to people being miserable since the kings say was more important than the peoples say.
